This school year is off to a fantastic start, with students re-engaging in their languages from last year’s studies, beginning new languages if they have switched, and new students becoming acclimated to Trinity, World Languages, and all of their surroundings. It has been a true pleasure to watch as our students new and returning, young and old are igniting their language learning excitement alongside the curiosity of learning about a culture!
This morning I read a blog post (forwarded by our own Mr. Kennedy) about how one school in California is taking steps towards encouraging global perspectives among their students.
Check out the blog post here!
It is always thrilling and exciting to read about how other schools are taking a look at global perspectives in a way that relates to our own Global Awareness in the World Languages program. Trinity students will continue growing their global perspectives to encompass the diverse cultures that speak their language of study throughout this school year in World Languages and in connection with other classes!
If you’re looking for something fun to do next weekend to expand you or your family’s global perspective…check out Japanfest September 17 (10am-6pm) and 18 (10am-5pm). Check out their website for a listing of neat programs and performances available throughout the weekend!
